Ingredients

  • Breyers Natural Vanilla Ice Cream
  • 8 Granny Smith apples
  • 2 sheets 9 inch premade pie crust

Filling:

  • 4 medium Granny Smith apples cubed
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 granulated sugar
  • 1 egg beaten
  • caramel sauce

Directions

  1. Combine the chopped apples, water, cinnamon, and sugar in a saucepan over medium heat. Allow the apples to simmer until softened.

  2. Remove some of the liquid from the pot and in a separate bowl, stir in the cornstarch.

  3. Add the cornstarch mixture back into the saucepan and stir until the filling has thickened.

  4. Slice off the top of each apple, then scoop out the center.

  5. Fill the apples with the apple pie filling and place into a baking dish.

  6. Slice the pie crust into thin strips and weave into a lattice, or use as is.

  7. Cut circles and place on top of each of the apples.

  8. Brush with egg wash, then place into the oven at 350F for 25-30 minutes.

  9. Top with a scoop of ice cream and a drizzle of caramel
